Now that 33 miners are safely on the surface, and Arnie has left London (will he be back?) it’s time for some Taptu news. In case you have a life, you may not have heard that Mitch Lazar is now our new CEO!
“I’m excited to step into the role of CEO at Taptu and take the reigns from Steve Ives who has done an incredible job building Taptu into what it is today.
Steve has founded Taptu four years ago with a brand new vision for mobile search. Today the Taptu touchscreen search app achieves a stellar four-star user rating and in addition, our Wapaedia product provides millions of our customers an encyclopedia of content that is fun and informing to use.
Since joining the company four months ago, we have been re-organising Taptu to make more of, IMHO, our fortunate position of having some of the best, brightest and most talented engineers in this space. And did you know we have an editorial team? It gives us an added advantage and X-factor to keep our products fresh and brutally relevant for our customers. Our understanding of the content and search business as well as the search tech Taptu has built forms a great base from which we can continue to grow.
So what is next from the innards of Taptu Towers? Well we are on to something very new that we think is going to be seriously addictive, something we expect will provide our customers with a richer experience that will compel them to use our service every single day, many times!
To give you more of a clue, as our digital industry has transformed the way in which we consume information, we are most interested in how people will engage with their favorite content and follow their passions, while staying connected to their friends and communities. Think of Taptu as a social and media technology company that wants to keep you engaged with your world and the world around you in one beautiful little app.
I look forward to driving our business forward and taking Taptu to new heights with a service millions of people will love to use everyday”.
There you have it – Mitch keeps us up and awake at night and we have an addictive product coming that will do the same for you – I’d say Mitch also has the X-Factor
